Elisabeth-Davy Bouttier, France

Elisabeth Davy-Bouttier was born in 1960 in Beaupréau, France. She spend her childhood there. In 1980, after a stay of 2 years abroad, she settled  down in Paris where she worked as Public Relations. In 1987, she moved in Toulouse where she lives henceforth with her family.

She begins to paint in 1994. From 1998 she dedicates herself exclusively to her passion : the painting.”When I paint, my paintbrush becomes a key which opens me the door of a magic land, where I stroll according to my moods” It is Lia Kasper from the Gallery Pro Arte Kasper in Switzerland (specialist of the naïve art) who gives her the opportunity to exhibit in solo.

Today she is present in numerous collections in France and abroad.

” She possesses a magical painting style, very peculiar and incomparable in the way she pictures everyday life and the social interactions in the various rural and urban environments that surround her. In a precise and rigorous stroke, applying color palettes of extraordinary beauty and strong light effects, her works enchant and inspire the observers to dream.”.

Pedro de Almeida – Allarts Gallery, Lisbon, Portugal
