Jean-Pierre Lorand, Belgium
Jean-Pierre Lorand was born
in Valenciennes but lives in Brussels, where he studied
at the "St Luc Art
Institute"
He works in publicity as a
creative designer, and describes himself as a self-taught painter.
He developed a slightly
candid artistic expression, which presents a fine stroke and
great quality, along with
an uncommon pictorial rigor.
Trough his art, Jean-Pierre
Lorand shares with us simple stories, full of freshness, luminosity and
poetry. His paintings structure themselves on their own compositions,
which transport us to the time and place where each scene is generated.
Since 1977 he has been
frequently exhibiting in galleries and cultural events in Belgium and many
other European countries, as well as in the USA and Japan. We also
highlight his participation in "Benezit Grund" exhibition as
well the philatelic works he developed for the Belgium Postal Services.
